Upon arrival at Sycamore House you will receive a warm welcome, together with complimentary tea served in our pretty cottage garden or the cosy lounge.

Sycamore House is grade 2 listed and we have enjoyed restoring some of the features that had been covered up over the years, such as a magnificent fireplace in the guest's lounge. To this we have added our growing collection of mountain pictures, including New Zealand and Nepal where we recently went trekking. Guests are invited to browse through our library of walking books and information on the area, covering the history of mining in Dufton and the Eden Valley.

We have ideal facilities for walkers and are happy to advise on local walks and information. We also have safe cycle storage for bikes, and parking for several cars.

Please feel free to bring your pet, although please note we do not allow them in the dining room.

We are open from March to October.

ROOMS AND PRICES

There is another double bedroom with an ensuite shower room but no w/c. Price per person per night is £22.

Our third double bedroom has no ensuite facilities. Price per person per night is £21

Both our single bedrooms have sinks in the rooms. Price per person per night is £19.

There is also a separate shower, toilet and bathroom available for the guests.

All prices include towels. We offer special rates for children up to age 10.

We can cater for groups of up to 10 people by arrangement.

THE FOOD

We serve a full English breakfast or a range of other options, such as fresh fruit and yoghurts, and can cater for vegetarians. Packed lunches can be arranged if booked in advance.
